Online play I can't comment on since I have limited experience with it.

There looks to me to be a good amount in production based on what I've read in the forums. The creators of some of the high quality NWN2 mods have done a lot to breakdown the process to help others understand it. NWN1 has been out for 6 years so it has quite a head start. And there's been continued improvements to the builder from both Obsidian and the community. Module wise, yes, there is a limited selection now, but I would definitely not say what's available isn't good. If Kaedrin continues to add even 50% of the additional content he has scheduled, I will be ecstatic. Well, from what I've seen of Reeron, Tony K's and Kaedrin's work, I'm getting to be very happy with where NWN2 is game play wise. It's too bad because NWN1 was so good with mods and online play and NWN2 isn't good either way.
Neverwinter nights 2 mods must have mod#
It's harder to mod NWN2 (from all I have read) and the mods that are on NWVault a lot of the mods are either in the Beta phase or are of limited usefulness. There aren't very many mods for NWN2 and damn few coming. Deleting these scripts from a module will force the module to revert to the default versions included with the game.I'm just glad there's a motivated community helping to get NWN2 up to where NWN is. Note that the x2_* scripts are Bioware default scripts that have been reverted to their default coding. Among the ones Id suggest: Honor Among Thieves: One of the best modules out there if youre playing a thief or a rogue - light on combat, heavy on dialogue, puzzles and traps - lots of choices and consequences, branching paths for the main quest, most missions you get have multiple ways to be solved.

Those that have them in use should be able to continue to use them.

Builders can update their modules to remove these if they are unused. tlk file (projectq.tlk)Īdd desired q_ hak files (use dropdown list) Add Project Q to your module in the toolset (after making a backup copy)Īdd latest Project Q. mod file goes into your NWN/modules folderģ. Projectq.tlk file goes into your NWN/tlk folder (if you don't have one, just add it)Īmbient sounds go into your NWN/ambient folderġ. Grab the "ambient", "haks", and "tlk" downloads. Go to Edit > Module Properties > Custom ContentĪdd desired cep2_ hak files (use dropdown list)ġ. Add CEP to your module in the toolset (after making a backup copy) NOTE: If updating from a previous installation, make a backup copy of (or just don't overwrite) your cep2_custom.hak and/or cep2_build.hak if you've made any changes to them.ģ. Modules requiring older versions will require you to download that older 1.x version, which will not interfere with your installation of the latest version (see "Related Projects" on the CEP download page). Versions 2.1 and later are compatible backwards to v2.1. Note: Some older modules may require use of older versions of CEP. If you have both NWN Diamond (1.69) and NWN:EE installed, you can force NWN:EE to use the NWN 1.69 folders (and save yourself disk space) by editing your Documents/Neverwinter Nights/nwn.ini file to point to the old installation folders. Notes The game references fonts that are in its program files, not what's installed in Windows. Credit also to rjshae for replying to a similar inquiry by highlighting Geshi's font mod. If you are using only Beamdog's Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition, these subfolders are found in your Documents folder. Acknowledgements Thanks to Geshi for creating the Neverwinter Nights 2 Japanese font and providing a readme as the mod description. tlk contents go into NWN/tlk (if this folder doesn't exist on your machine, just add it)
